Zaheer Abbas
Zaheer is the Principal Lawyer at Kay Law and Mediation, offering a client-driven, straightforward approach to resolving legal matters. Zaheer was the founding President of the Edmonton Chapter of Global Lawyers of Canada which started in 2014 in Calgary and has become a National Organization with Chapters in Ontario and British Columbia.
Prior to practicing law, Zaheer worked as a Mechanical Engineer with the City of Edmonton's Construction Services, Integrated Infrastructure Services. His extensive background includes drafting proposals and tenders for Engineering Infrastructure and Support Services. In addition to his expertise in procuring engineering services, Zaheer's over six years of engineering experience encompasses a wide range of skills, including engineering design, construction, project management, 3D modeling, and on-site construction management. This diverse technical background equips Zaheer with a unique perspective and a comprehensive approach to problem-solving in his legal practice.
Zaheer was a member of Engineers Without Borders at the University of New Brunswick and was elected Vice-President (Finance) and later the chapter Co-President. The Chapter was nationally recognized for the most improved and Zaheer was personally awarded the Third Century Merit Award for his leadership role.
In Zaheer’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, exploring new cultures , physical fitness training and blogging.
